Residential property for sale

  • Description
  • Located in Princeton Crossing - learn more about this mobile home community. This house is a dream, situated as it is in a safe, clean, quiet manufactured home community. The rooms are spacious and bright. It is indeed a"cheery"house.Located not far from supermarkets, including Jungle Jim's International Market about five miles away, and situated near streets with easy access to Interstates 75 and 275, this house really sells itself. No houses are located in the rear, where there is plenty of land for children to run around. The neighbors are quiet and very helpful. The asking price has been reduced to $17,500, and that is about as low as we can go. It is really a good deal. After all, it is almost unheard of today to find a quality house for under $20,000.This is an as is/where is sale, something that is the case in most manufactured home sales. We do not finance ourselves and cannot accept, therefore, partial payment or installment plans. The property manager of Princeton Crossing can refer prospective buyers to lending institutions that do provide financing, however. Now, we are not interested in"sight seers,"that is, who are not interested in purchasing immediately, those who are only"thinking"about buying a manufactured house in the future. Our time is valuable. We want to show the house only to those who have the means to purchase and to take possesion in three to four weeks or so thereafter. There have been several people who telephoned in the final few months of 2012. Each promised to get back to me after a certain date. One even said that she would telephone on a certain day about coming over later that day. We made all of the necessary preparations for her expected, although unconfirmed, visit. I telephoned the prospective buyer, leaving a mesage for her. My wife did the same. We received not even the courtesy of any kind of response. Similarly, I did not hear back after I had e-mailed her to explain our disappointment in her refusal even do us the simple, common courtesy of making a phone call to update us on her plans. We are not unreasonable people. We simply expect prospective buyers to be considerate of our time. Plans change. All well and good. It used to a given that those who have discussed, if even in only general terms, about a visit to a seller's home would indeed make a phone call to let the seller know whether he or she would be coming for a visit as discussed. It is simply not right to keep people from going about their daily duties while they wait for a phone call that is never made.Once again, no one is obligated to look at our lovely house. No one is obligated to purchase it. It is, though, an obligation in the objective moral order to give a seller the courtesy of an update to let him know what the prospective buyer's plans are for a given day. That is not too much to ask or to expect. We look forward to showing our lovely house to those prospective buyers who have the money to make payment in full and who desire to take occupancy within three to four weeks. I do hope that those of you who are"watching"this house will do more than"watch."Some have found this description to be"unreasonable,"if not insulting. While we have a positive moral obligation to completely honest with a prospective buyer about the details of our house and to make an earnest effort to be flexible enough to change our schedules to show it, it is not asking very much for prospective buyers to follow up with a phone call or an e-mail if their own plans change. No one has a right to inconvenience others. We live in a world, however, where many people are so steeped in themselves that the thought of doing what was once a simple, common courtesy does not even enter into their minds. This is not meant to be insulting. This is a honest description of the world in which we live today. A little courtesy goes a long way. And a little reminder about this is not meant to be demeaning or insulting.I hope that this has made things as clear as possible. Thank you.
