We have an international group here, Canadians, Americans and a few Europeans live here. So, you get it. The neighborhood is great and so are the facilities, 2 pools, a spa, community room, gym, pool tables, lake, and a myriad of low cost monthly activities for residents. The lot rent is the lowest in the area, and the homes are set up along normal streets, so there's lots of space between homes and lots of trees and privacy. This is a 55+ neighborhood although you can have a child as young as 18 and still be welcome here. My cozy home has been remodeled a lot over the years and since I moved here with up to date Kitchen cabinetry, lots of storage, a pantry, ceiling fans in every room, good appliances including a gas stove, thermopane windows, normal height ceilings, all walls skim-coated to look like stuccoed cement block, a great bathroom w/stand up shower, big closets, killer AC, LOW utility bills, 10x20 Florida room, big back yard with big beautiful trees, a great shed w/electric and a small workbench area, W&D hookup in the shed, an irrigation well and sprinklers so that your lawn stays green without your spending a penny, leather furniture, good carpets, flat screen TV, wireless internet set-up, and the list goes on. Plus it's never been smoked in, has a newish roof-over, and a carport. Motorcycles are allowed here. Here's the bottomline. The cost for the home is $11,900. Unless you are much more fanatical about your housing than I am, you won't have to spend a penny once you move in. It's all been done. OK, so you don't have to buy furniture, you don't have to remodel, you cannot beat the location or the neighborhood( DB Beachside is 8 mins, New Smyrna Beach is 5 minutes, Walmart is 8 Minutes, and Orlando is 45 minutes away). What's the bad news? Well, I think we're still in the good news territory. Here's what it will cost you: 422. lot rent(smaller pet is welcome), about $100 for electric/water/gas. Or you could rent an apartment, have noisy neighbors, and pay twice that in utilities. You decide. So, that's the long and short of it. If you'd like to see this place, please give me a call.
